Job description
The NNF CO2 Research Center (CORC) is seeking a highly talented and motivated scientist or engineer for the position as scientific coordinator to assist the CORC management team and the center’s researchers.
You will be responsible for our funding program, i.e., coordinating the announcements of solicitations, communicating with applicants and hosting evaluation meetings for the strategic grant council.
You are also expected to develop the CO2 knowledge base for the Center for scientific and educational use and contribute to the center’s communication and outreach program by developing videos and other material. Furthermore, you are expected to work with CORC’s Director of Science to assist in exploring and developing new research areas.
Your profile
We expect that you have at least a master degree in natural sciences or engineering with a focus on environmental, climate, or CO2 mitigation studies. Previous experience with data collection and analysis is an advantage. Finally, we expect that you are a team player and able to communicate effectively and fluently in English.
Who we are
The Novo Nordisk Foundation CO2 Research Center (CORC) is a newly established, mission‐oriented center based at Aarhus University. The center’s purpose is to develop novel science for carbon capture and conversions for storage or utilization to replace fossil carbon and fossil fuel‐intensive processes with sustainable, CO2‐based technologies. In the CORC head quarter, we are a growing, international team, currently of eight people. We support the Center’s research groups at Aarhus University and other institutions nationally and internationally. In total, the center encompasses more than 40 researchers.
